RISE

RISE was the official zero-gravity indicator mascot for NASA's Artemis II mission that launched from Kennedy Space Center on April 1, 2026, and successfully concluded with a splashdown in the Pacific Ocean on April 10, 2026.  Designed by 8-year-old Lucas Ye from California, the smiling, moon-shaped plush toy wears an Earth-themed baseball cap and floats freely to provide visual confirmation that the crew has reached a microgravity environment.

The mascot held a secret payload: an SD card containing over 5.6 million names submitted by space fans during NASA's "Send Your Name with Artemis" campaign.
